New Project - First Steps

I've had this old oak head and foot board for a single bed stored for years. Decided to make a useful piece of furniture last weekend. Cut 6 inches off the legs. Took off the old hardware and started to build the inner frame. 

More to follow. So far no costs (oak headboard and footboard was $5.00 years ago). So far I am reusing lumber that I have on hand that had been used for other projects I dismantled.
