ReplyDeleteWhat a job! I am amazed that you are still allowed to burn the debris, I remember doing that as a child but not anymore, now everything has to be chipped and spread...or hauled away. You are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place...good luck keeping away the deer and happy gardening.

ReplyDeleteOh that is maybe so strenuous! But i am sad with the volume of biodegradable materials you burned, adding a lot of bad smoke to the already bad environment we have now. It is analogous to burning gasoline. Why can we not just let the biodegradable materials rot naturally in compost pits? It is definitely more healthy for our struggling generation and our earth's atmosphere! thank you.

ReplyDelete... I have one-off relative who loves to burn things in his backyard in the deepest hours of the night. You see, the burbs of Chicago frown on backyard burnings!

I do haul away a lot of garden debris when cleaning. We live in the city and though others burn, we don't. Unfortunately, we are under quite the drought situation even now. Otherwise -I'd love to burn and have the ashes for the compost! Good for you in getting all this done! I appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
