Indian Summer...

September is a favorite time of year for me, the summer is over, life is settling down and when we are having a Indian Summer...
I dropped Dad at the church on Saturday, he is very busy and involved. The Petunias are at the church,  the Asters and yellow flowers are from a park and the beaver dam is in a preserve. It has been quite dry and the beavers are doing much good. The stars are yard sale finds and are going to be part of my Christmas post.
The Chests and box were my my fun finds this week end they were full of an assortment of hardware, screws, tools, you name it.  50 cents for the box and $10 for the two chests. The small one is made from old boxes and is my new favorite thing this week. I tweaked one of the drawers that needed some glue, nails and a clamp to put it back in use. I also tweaked a few of my favorite collectibles and tried them out on the brown chest.
Some playing around with Mr. Pickwick and Company.
Enjoy the fine Indian Summer have some fun!

  1. Wow, the best kind of metal junk drawers. Sure like the handles on the brown chest. Great finds indeed.

  2. do I see a mickey mouse in one of these photos :) ? :) I have a just turned 3 year old grandson who loves mickey / yours is probably a vintage find ?
We have an antique toy store in my area and it is amazing what some of the older toys sell for!

  3. Looks like you still have colors in your garden. And I see a crate right beside the drawer that is really nice find.

  4. Great flowers, love Aster, such a pretty flower. Is there a mickey mouse there, what will you do with all the furniture. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with Sunday’s Best – you helped make the party a success! PS - following you on Linky!

  5. Some great finds there Rob ... So much fun to buy something and find that stuff in the drawers are worth more that the chest. Love the crate/box with the wheels. Gives me an idea as what to do with the two wheels I took off and golf cart.
    Have fun recycling.
