Garden Seat, Transplanting tis the season!

We have talked about moving the crowded Rhododendrons they had a lot of space when they were small. We have replanted 8 so far and the new bed will soon be full. 


There other plants in pots that need their own space so it will be busy time for a good while...


Mixing in peat with garden soil use 4 parts soil 1 part compost 
and a couple of shovels of worm castings per plant
Several plants no room
Rolling new bed
Narley bed

    I can see why this is such a big job - that is a lot of bed making and digging and replanting. Sure looks good though. Can you post some pictures of the 'whole' yard from different angles when you get your projects the way you want them? Hope you got lots of seaweed and found some more logs.

    Man, this makes me feel behind. We're building, and sooo close to moving in, but not quite there. Our neighbors were kind enough to till me up a space for my garden, but I just haven't gotten over there to do any planting yet. Whoops!

    Welcome spring!! We have been turning our garden beds too. Or early veggies are in but a little to soon to plant flowers just yet. But I am ready! Hugs

    Your soil looks nothing like mine, which is southern red clay! Hard to dig, especially if it hasn't rained for a while!

    Looks like alot of work, but bet it will be beautiful when done...I am jealous as I cannot seem to get my Rhods. to grow, and they are so pretty!!

    Hi Rob!

    The nice thing about Rhodies is that they have such a shallow root ball and the move well. They look almost ready to bloom so please take more pictures when that happens as I know it will be beautiful.
