Contrian Folks...

I had the good fortune to meet 60 plus like-minded folk from around the Comox Valley while I was home. My wife was the one who set the wheels in motion for my partaking in the meeting. It was held in a private home and was very informative and positive. The subject was the the abuse and fear mongering by the BC provincial government and BC Hydro trying to force Smart Meters on those who object and don't want anything to do with them. The Bullying and Coercion is criminal and against the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. My Dad taught me to stand up for what I believe in and for that I am forever grateful.

On a lighter note it has been great to get in the garden and to get a little dirt on my hands.

While running about a friend showed me her pride and joy, The Settee Table, it is priceless, a shot of Mount Washington and a very nice 50's Cornbinder.

The character feels like life sometimes, an antique cast iron door stop and cabinet, a gate arbor and some fencing and planting going on.

I hope everyone is taking some time to do some relaxing and reflection have a happy day!

It is a funny thing when a whole lot of rain, a whole lot of time makes for ... Being away for a month or more at a time the yard work can get away. I have been busy picking berries, raspberries and tayberries
the blueberries will be next it looks like the sun is going to make an appearance at long last.
