Red Wrigglers...

Yesterday I cleaned out one of the composters. I used to have wooden boxes for my worms but they would rot after awhile. I have had these beauties for 17 or so years and have had worm castings ever since. Reds get fed kitchen scraps, spoiled fruit, pea pods, seaweed, leaf mulch, peat moss and such, only meat and fat are excluded.

Two garbage cans of castings, start building again...
