Humpty Dumpty saved...

It started out to be a paint project then we noticed that the railing on the upper deck was giving way. The posts on the railing were 2 plus inches out of level the weight of the roof and snow loads over the years had taken their toll. It turned into an all day project using what material I had scrounged over the years, it was a stretch. Using 3  6'' by 6'' for posts, a 16ft 2'' by 6'' for the beam along with T shaped plywood cleats to tie it all together Humpty was saved.
Finished, cleats tying posts to existing beam.
Last 2" by 6", making posts fit, 2 inches out of level,
Center bottom photo - old copper plate of shake blockers in North Vancouver and left photo - tying rail to the post.

  8. Oh Rob ... I just love your flowers. We are so in need of rain here that I just do not have any flowers in the yard. All I have is what I buy from the nursery. Maybe next year.
    Blessings,
    Audrey Z.
