Fall in the Yard...

Fall is such a great time to get all the things done that one can't seem to do in the summer. Working on firewood, fence posts, making raised beds, planting Garlic, having fires...

The Fuchsias are still happening and the hummers are still around, this Tree Peony is massive still flowering and will have a new space of it's own in the Spring. The Pampas Grass is in a nearby yard and this Clematis is still flowering.

Playing with a Beam machine that slides on a 2/4, preserving post-ends by burning.

Old Mower is on its way out, new one was a good deal plain Jane. I use it to mulch leaves in the fall and for mowing tough areas around the yard, the mushrooms are cool.

Garlic bed number 6, now has 6 different varieties, looking forward to trying them out next year.
Burning Bush Maple tree in the court yard.

Firewood is just about in and the posts are just about done one more session!!!

I hope that everyone is enjoying this beautiful season.

  3. Interesting mosaics, and nice to see things still flowering. In Ontario, everything is just about spent. I planted garlic for the first time this year, wish I had done it much sooner.

  4. I agree, autumn is a beautiful season. I think I need to clear a little spot and plant some garlic, after seeing all of yours.

  7. You have been very busy preparing your wood and garden - it's getting pretty cold here in Georgia and I haven't seen Hummingbirds in a while - your Buddy looks like a dog we had ages ago - sweet little friend. I am delighted that you shared with Home and Garden Thursday,
    Kathy
