Now this is a ...
Recently our toaster quit like most things these days made in China. This made me think of my dads toaster which is over 60 years old and still going strong. He spent $12 on it 25 years ago and that's it.
What do you think?

The same as you are...everything breaks down these days...Wasn't it so much better back in the day?
ReplyDeleteThat's cool! I recently picked up a really neat old sunbeam toaster at an estate sale, still haven't gotten the chance to see if it works, but this makes me more confident!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - I think we just don't build things like we used to - sadly even made in North America is no guarantee of quality these days!

ReplyDeleteNot only were things made to last... if they did break... we had them fixed! I don't understand this "throw-a-way" mentality nowadays.
